Phase two of Quell® project in Netherlands.

Apple Sound has completed the latest phase of a Quell® sound masking project for the European headquarters of a major international biotechnology company.

The five storey building is located in the Hoofddorp area of Amsterdam near Schiphol International Airport, an area known for its high concentration of blue-chip technology corporations.

Having last year installed the first phase on floor two, Apple Sound was invited back by Facilities Manager Ingrid Paling to continue the project on floors one and three.

"Before having the system installed on floor two, I must admit to a certain scepticism regarding its effectiveness. After just a few months we came to the conclusion that the Quell® sound masking system has become something we simply couldn't do without", said Ingrid.

Demonstrating the value of Apple Sound's technical expertise, the initial system design allowed straightforward expansion into the new floors following the refurbishment programme.

"The improvement in acoustical comfort for the occupants of floor two is remarkable and has clearly benefited everyone who works there. We are absolutely delighted with the results and plan to roll the system out to the remaining floors as we expand and fill the building."
