Gedling Borough Council, Nottinghamshire.

Gedling Borough's modern council chamber had suffered from poor acoustics which were adversely affecting important meetings. Apple Sound were engaged as consultants to evaluate the problem, then design and specify an appropriate solution.

A BOSCH DCN discussion system was specified, together with a Bose ControlSpace digital audio signal processor and Bose Panaray loudspeakers for the replay of multimedia content. The specification was used by the Council to invite tenders from competent contractors and the system was subsequently installed, with the final commissioning by Apple Sound to ensure the system performed to the specification. As a testament to the value of good design, the system has not needed adjustment since it was commissioned.
